The Power of Logging Off
Sometimes the best way to find yourself is to leave the algorithm behind.

Give yourself permission to log off, rest,
and have undistracted experiences.

A Slower Perspective
The most refreshing trend of 2026 might not happen online at all. As our lives become increasingly shaped by algorithms and AI, choosing to log off and unplug may be one of the most meaningful acts of conscious consumption.
De-influencing, media detoxing, dating in real life—people are breaking out of digital bubbles to escape mindless scrolling. More consumers are mass-unsubscribing from streaming services, opting for vinyl and DVD collections instead. Quiet travel, phone-free events, and having unplugged experiences are also on the rise. It’s an oddly hopeful cultural shift as AI rapidly penetrates every aspect of our daily lives and jobs. The AI boom has exposed our dependence on social media and apps thus far, inspiring people to disconnect to reconnect with themselves and others.
While unplugging is currently proving that slow living can find us in unexpected ways, we may not always be able to fully separate ourselves from technology, especially as corporations and social norms try to keep us reliant on it. In these moments of attempted domination, we must remind ourselves that our humanity and person-to-person experiences are the keys to our peace and sanity.

Music: ‘Goddess’ by Banks is what dark feminine dreams are made of. Doubling as a manifestation song, it can inspire you to live wholly and unapologetically from your intuitive power that may have been suppressed for years.

A Thoughtful Ritual for This Week
In honor of this week’s topic of logging off, try reducing your content intake this week. When you feel the urge to turn on a podcast, scroll Instagram, or drown out the world with your favorite playlist, intentionally choose to work or sit in silence instead. Tune into the sounds of the natural world around you, which provide a different kind of soundtrack—one that’ll remind you of the vastness of the universe and your role in it.
Tiny Shifts to Consider
Take a walk without consuming content.
Take yourself on a self-love date.
Read a book at the park or beach.
Play a board game with a small group of friends.
Attend a local, free community swap.
A Prompt for Your Sunday Reset
As we enter this next week, we’re hoping you feel empowered to log off with us (even in the smallest of ways). If it’s too hard a task for you, try journaling or asking yourself: How do I depend on technology? How can I build healthier boundaries and habits to reduce my dependence on technology? How am I resisting unplugging and why? How can I realistically unplug for a day or throughout the week?
